They’re suppose to be great for you, right? With all of the fruits and veggies that comprise them, how could they not be? But, we’re not here to talk about salad. Today, we’ll be discussing the Pokemon who has proven to be a major thorn in most trainer’s side…Venusaur!
Doesn’t it just look super deadly?! Unfortunately, it is! Facing a Venusaur is often a suicide mission for most Pokemon; largely due to Venusaur’s bulkiness bought on by its typing and somewhat and aggravating “pure survivor” move-set. Seriously! It’s as if Venusaur was designed to easily withstand anything you could throw at it…almost.
Venusaur is grass, yes, but it’s also poison. Like nearly all other pure, and some dual type, grass Pokemon, Venusaur should be weak to ice type moves. Unfortunately, you’re going to need to hit this thing with quite a few ice beams to actually put a dent in it; I wouldn’t recommend this strategy though. Unless you somehow miraculously freeze Venusaur with your mirage of ice beams, blizzards, or whatever ice move you decide to use, it’s definitely going to recover. Not only will thing thing “recover,” it will end up back at full health in a matter of no-time if you don’t IMMEDIATELY kill it. To achieve this, Venusaur often follows this set of moves:
- Use ingrain to suck nutrients from the ground
- Leech seed every single Pokemon that can’t resist it
- Poison every Pokemon on the field
- Here comes the giga drain. Venusaur will literally suck the life out of all your Pokemon if given the chance…and there’s not really much you can do about it once it gets started.
If you end up facing a Venusaur, use Psyshock on it fast! In a double or triple that has one? Make sure that you hit it twice, 3 times if possible, because if you leave with even a sliver of life…you will regret it!
A salad with beets is what I see when I look at the monstrous Venusaur. The blue body is a clear bowl. Inside you have fresh green kale, whatever else you’d like to place on top of that kale, then some beets!
With all of the power stored with Venusaur, it makes me wonder. Is he the God of Pokemon?
