The Pokemon that are on the hot plate today are Grimer and Muk. Grimer and Muk are both poison type Pokemon, and are equally annoying as hell to face in battle!
Hard to tell them apart, isn’t it? Muk is the purple blob in the front, and Grimer is the purple blob in the back. Facing either of these, you’re going to be hit with one of the 2 following moves: Sludge Bomb or Gunk Shot…and they’ll never miss! If by some chance they decide not to hit you right off the bat, you should worry. Aside from their overpowered signature poison moves, both Muk and Grimer love to use the moves Minimize and Acid Armor.
Acid Armor: Particularly annoying with these 2 Pokemon because they it’s nearly always used on the first turn…on top of the berry they often have stashed somewhere. This move is often coupled with Stockpile and swallow to make for a set of the 2 of the most annoying Pokemon ever created!
Minimize: Minimize isn’t as bad as Acid Armor, unless you allow Muk or Grimer to use it more than once. There are some occasions where virtually every other attack to make again Muk or Grimer will miss after a single Minimize. On the flip side, I tried to pull off the same act, the moves would hit my Pokemon each and every time without fail.
Oh, and don’t even try to think about using Knock Off to get rid of the berry, or black sludge, that either of these 2 are holding because they more than likely have the ability Sticky Hold; i.e. it isn’t going anywhere!
To take down Muk and/or Grimer, you basically need a Pokemon with a very hard hitting physic move, and preferably STAB for that physic move. Confusion or Psybeam likely won’t be enough to take these beasts down; Psyshock, Psychic are your best bets. Have a little wiggle room? Use Future Sight. Future Sight is sure to kill it, possibly even with a couple of Stockpiles under its belt.
Toxic Pudding! Is what they are! Want a taste?
